A Harare kombi conductor ferrying students from a sporting tournament in Karoi has been jailed on charges of indecent assault after getting a 16-year-old girl drunk before touching her private parts.

Nyasha Chongo (27) from Budiriro 1 in Harare was sentenced to four months behind bars by Chegutu senior magistrate Felix Chauromwe.
Chongo, who is now appealing against the sentence at the High Court, was sitting on the front seat with the minor whom he offered beer, which they shared on October 28.
Chongo then took advantage of the minor when she got intoxicated and unzipped her shorts before touching her private parts. However, the minor felt uncomfortable and changed sitting positions and in the process the other students noticed that her zip had been undone.
