Mahachi last Monday surprised all and sundry when he was crowned among the crème de la crème at the business awards. The musician walked away with a Gospel Music Creative Market Penetration Leadership Excellence Acumen award.

“I am so excited about this achievement. To me, this award will motivate me and it’s good to know that the corporate world appreciates my work,” Mahachi said.

“I dedicate the award to my fans and I would like to thank the Zimbabwe Business Award for such an initiative.”

Mahachi said this year ended on a high note for him after he recently performed at the launch of Abathandwa Music Group’s album launch at Durban Christian Centre in South Africa where he gave a five-star performance.

He did a track titled Ndisiye which features Oliver Mtukudzi, which is doing well on local radio stations’ gospel charts.
