The Glamour Boys may have been itching for revenge after they lost at the same stage of the competition to the same opponents who went on to win the competition.

Stakes are higher this year with the prize money increased to $15 000 for the champions while the runners-up walk away $10 000 richer.

Last year’s losing finalists Highlanders play Chicken Inn in the other semifinal at Babourfields Stadium in Bulawayo today.

“The team is in camp right now preparing for the game against Caps United. Everything has been sorted out now and it’s up to the coach to select the players he wants to use for the game since some did not train for the better part of the week. We are still engaging the players so that we know that the problem is fixed once and for all,” club secretary-gerenral Webster Marechera told Standardsport.

It is understood that Dynamos players are owed part of their salaries and winning bonuses from last season which they want settled before the season begins.

It has been reported that the players have been receiving half salaries since January last year and are owed over $2 500 each in winning bonuses.

Dynamos pay their players $200 for winning a match and $70 for a draw, on top of their salaries.

The four team in the Commander ZNA’s Charities Shield will be hoping to test the strength of their squads ahead of the new season. The ZNA targets to raise $50 000 from the tournament to be channelled towards charity.

Both matches kick off at 3pm and the cheapest ticket has been pegged at $3
