Botswana-based gospel musician Tapiwa Ndoro will soon release his third project — an eight-track album titled Makatendeka — which features gospel superstar Blessing Shumba.

Ndoro launched his second album titled Tirivana in August last year at Glad Tidings Church in Machipisa, Highfield, which featured top gospel artistes — Shumba, Primrose Cement and Tonderai Chindoma, among others.

Although his previous albums failed to fare well on the market, the Glen Norah-born musician believes his forthcoming album will catapult him to the top of the local gospel music scene.

Ndoro, who worked behind the scenes with a number of top gospel artistes, including Tawanda Mutyabere before he left for Botswana in 2008, said his forthcoming project carries a message of thanksgiving.

“There are so many important things that God did for me. This new album is all about thanking the Almighty for what He has done to me, my family, my friends and my leaders,” Ndoro said from his base in Botswana.

“The new album carries eight tracks, including Nguva, Taurai Neni, Makatendeka and Tamirira which features Shumba.”

On the album Tirivana, Ndoro collaborated with some of the great voices in Botswana who included Captain Dira and Kabelo Eric.

Ndoro shared some of his greatest wishes in the industry.

“As artistes, we always lack the mentoring element. l believe if we uplift those youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds, it will make a change in our community. We have a tendency of preaching love, which we as individuals can’t even express to others,” he said.
