The sessions will be hosted by Lady Boss Colleta and cater for all genres.

In an interview with The Standard Style on Wednesday, Club Mandisa director Bonface Nyamanhindi described the jam sessions as tailored to promote musicians in the province.

“Manicaland province has abundant musical talent, but unfortunately that talent is not being nurtured,” Nyamanhindi said.

“Club Manidisa has taken upon itself to nurture and develop that talent. We will be hosting the Monday Night Jam Sessions as we seek to promote the entertainment industry in Mutare.

“We will be working closely with the music groups and musicians so that they get enough exposure.”

To kickstart the sessions, local groups last Monday put up polished performances at the venue and left fans clamouring for more.

On top of the list was sungura group Hungwe Stars led by Simbarashe Muchita that stole the limelight.

Wise Friends and Orchestra Mombemumunda also put up a splendid performance on the sungura music menu.

Zimdancehall artistes also fared well with Fire Lady managing to wow the audience with her polished act.

Other artistes who took part include Big Boys, Parly Boy and Mavhende Boys, among others.

Nyamanhindi said they would be inviting established musicians to perform as guest artistes.
