Former Miss Tourism Zimbabwe and founder of Open Eye Studios, Samantha Tshuma, who is pregnant with her second child, says she is expecting to give birth this month.

In Hollywood style, the model took time for a photo-shoot with photographer Michelle Fortman exclusively for The Standard Style.
Sammy, as the model is affectionately known in the industry, had her first baby, Stephanie April Mhlanga, in 2013 with Chris Vukani Mhlanga from Bulawayo. She revealed that her new baby’s father is a Harare businessman.
“The father of my second baby is a businessman from Harare. Yes, we are together as we are in a relationship,” she said.
“Babies are a blessing. I am obviously very excited. I and my man cannot wait to hold our baby in our arms.”

However, Sammy refused to reveal the sex of the child.
“As for that, I can’t disclose at the present moment — whether it’s a boy or a girl and also the name of the baby. It’s a secret for now and I want it to be a special day when we make it public, special for us the parents and also the baby,” she said.
When asked about the reason behind the maternity photo-shoot, the Miss Tourism Zimbabwe 2010 said: “Photo-shoots are always therapy for me, maybe because of my industry as a model. Apart from that, I want to capture the moment since pregnancy isn’t easy for women. I have to value these moments both for myself and the baby.”
Sammy started modelling at the age of 10, which saw her crowned Miss Tourism Zimbabwe in 2010.
After her career on the ramp, she ventured into talent identification and grooming under her agency, Open Eye Studio, in Bulawayo. The agency also offers dancing classes, photography, image consultancy and event management.
