No Bad Vibes, which will be accompanied by a music video, will be released on various digital platforms including iTunes and YouTube.

In an interview with The Standard Style, King 98 said hip-hop allows him to fully express himself as an artiste and that is why he has settled for the genre.

“I decided to settle for hip-hop because I can fully express myself, I can fully express who I really am and it gives me the desire and passion to keep fighting. I seek to inspire youths and everyone else around me that dreams come true through my music and God is always in control,” he said.

“As I begin this journey, I believe in myself and in the next five years I foresee myself being a powerhouse in African music and travelling all over the world performing in front of thousands of people.”

King 98 said the single demonstrates the power of unity among artistes through collaborations.

“I was honoured to record a duet with one of Africa’s best artistes, Davido, after his personal assistant Aloma heard one of my songs produced by South African hip-hop star Cassper Nyovest’s producer and director Alie Keyz. He told me that it was a good song that Davido would like and when he [Davido] listened to the song, he then flew to Zimbabwe and we recorded the it,” he said.

“From the recording experience with Davido, I discovered that he is a humble person, he later invited me to his house in Nigeria and drove me around Lagos to have an appreciation of his coountry.

The 21-year-old artiste’s role models are Asap Rocky, Davido, Canadian rapper producer and actor Drake and South African artiste and producer Cassper Nyovest.

King 98 said his forthcoming album titled Francesca would feature South African hip-hop sensation Nasty C.

His father Thompson Dondo, who is also the executive producer of the project, described King 98 as a talented artiste who only needed guidance.
