Gweru-based radio personality, music producer and socialite DJ Blesh has been engaged by an international promoter for a possible international tour with one of the top DJs in Africa.

In an interview with The Standard Style, DJ Blesh confirmed the development saying the deal was still in its infancy and would not disclose much details.

“An international promoter has engaged me concerning a possible international tour with one of Africa’s top DJs, but the deal is still in the early stages and it requires clearance from my bosses before I talk much about it,” DJ Blesh said.

Born Blessing Nyanhete, DJ Blesh started doing music professionaly in 2010 .

Nyanhete managed to defy all odds by becoming a music promoter and producer when he hosted artistes from Gweru, which made him popular in Midlands province.

“Being a music promoter and producer pushed my name into the limelight till 2014 when I could get bookings from outside Gweru,” he said.

The youthful wheelspinner, who is popularly known for nationwide music tours like the l am Blesh Tour and the Gaffa Tour which he did alongside Zimdancehll sensation Winky D, said he got into music production after he was encouraged by his United Kingdom-based manager Nigel Rubwe.

“l do a genre called EDM [electronic dance music] and l have released one album and a lot of remixes,” he said.

“My music is inspired by my surroundings, the moment l hear a sound like in the streets, l will make a song out of it.”

Nyanhete said he gets inspiration from the likes of David Guetta, Martin Garrix and Steve Aoki.

The award-winning DJ has managed to share the stage with the likes of the late Dr Oliver Mtukudzi,Jah Prayzar, ExQ, Seh Calaz, Freeman and Winky D.

Internationally, Nyanhete has shared the stage with Mafikizolo, Turbulence, Dermaco, K.O, Oskido and Black Supremacy, among others.

DJ Blesh is a radio presenter with 98.4FM Midlands, which is a Gweru-based radio station.
