A new beauty spa – The Beauty Sanctuary – which offers professional beauty salon services and spa treatments for the face and body, recently opened doors in Highlands, Harare.

According to the director Lieta Ncube, the beauty spa will help improve health, beauty and relaxation through a wide variety of personal care treatments.

According to her, the salon meets modern trends and is equipped with the state-of-the-art tools and ventilation system, making the air inside even cleaner and safer than outside.

“It’s a mini and private beauty spa that caters for both men and women’s grooming located in a serene environment in the northern suburbs of Harare where clients walk in as guests and leave as friends,” Ncube said.

“Our spa offers quite a number of services, which include body steaming, facial treatments, spa pedicures, shellac manicures, eyelash extensions, nail technology and waxing, to mention several among others.”

Ncube, a holder of a Higher Diploma in Cosmetology, said staff at The Beauty Sanctuary is highly-trained and up-to-date with the latest trends in cosmetology.

“We also offer consultations to assist clients choosing the best kind of looks they hope to achieve. As a beautician and a makeup artist, I have helped clients to look their best at various occasions like weddings, photo shoots, and media appearances,” she said.

“It is our mission to make sure that women look good every day and our motto is beautiful makeup begins with a beautiful skin. So, skincare is very important to everyone, be it a woman or a man.”

Ncube, who also runs another cosmetology business, Wig Centre in Greencroft, specialising in hair, said she is contemplating opening a beauty training school and they are in the process of formulating organic skin care for women of colour.

Meanwhile, Ncube said her hair business was doing well despite socio-economic challenges.

“My other business is quite popular as we export some of our wigs and hair extensions regionally and internationally. We have quite a number of local celebrities among our clientele, including musicians, radio and television personalities, politicians and business executives,” she said.
