South Africa-based praise and worship team CRM Praise is riding high following the release of its debut live DVD album that is making waves on online platforms.

The 16-member outfit, which stems from the Christ Resurrection Ministries (CRM), is led by prolific preacher Pastor William Chapanduka, who commands a huge following in Pretoria.

The team manager, Pastor Farai Denhere, says the recording of the 14-track live DVD album titled Then Sings My Soul has opened avenues for them as they are now performing in other ministries across the neighbouring country.

“The response has been quite overwhelming, we managed to get a good number of viewership and the sales are also encouraging,” Denhere said.

“We have secured numerous bookings as well and last month we had four shows, which is very encouraging.

“We worked with Takesure [Zamar Ncube], who is the group’s mentor. He was just in and out, but all in all, we are happy with the progress the group has made so far.”

Zamar, a well-known praise and worship musician, also performed at the CRM Praise DVD album launch held in April.

CRM Praise was formed in 2017 by a group of youths from the same ministry before releasing their debut DVD album in November last year. The outfit comprises of both Zimbabwean and South African nationals.

“CRM Praise is a manifestation of the Word in rhythm or music. The group has young people using their gifts and talent to fulfil the divine assignment that Jesus gave them to spread the gospel across the globe,” said Denhere.

“The youths were convicted by this Wword and mandate to further distinct them from merely being gospel artistes, but ministers of the Word in music.”

The outfit is already working on its forthcoming project to be released early next year.
