South Africa-based Zimbabwean award- winning gospel musician Takesure “Zamar” Ncube will be the main attraction at this year’s Tabernacle of Grace Church Jesus Summit, which starts in Avondale Harare, tomorrow, ending Tuesday.

Zamar will play alongside Learnmore Tavengwa of the Spirit Praise Choir at the two-day packed event that will also attract many top evangelists from across the globe.

The songwriter, instrumentalist and vocalist has already released a video inviting people to attend the summit, to be held under the theme, Azusa Experience. “Azusa Experience is here, join Apostle Java and I at Seven Arts, Avondale. Please invite your friend,” Zamar said in one of the videos.

The theme, Azusa Experience, was driven from William Joseph Seymour, who was an African American holiness preacher who initiated the Azusa Street Revival, an influential event in the rise of the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements.

He was the second of eight children born to a freed slave raised in extreme poverty in Louisiana. He was excommunicated from the church for preaching that the church could still continue to speak in tongues like on the day of Pentecost. He then moved to Los Angeles and lived with one family in Azuza Street in 1909, the street that was later synonymous with healing where most people across the world would go to receive healing.

Seymour became the founder of the Pentecostal movement.

Apostle Batsirai Java confirmed that the SABC Crown Gospel award-winner would grace the summit.

“As the Tabernacle of Grace Church, we are fasting and believe in God for the birth of a movement that will raise genuine pastors, prophets and apostles and equip the church with spiritual gifts,” Apostale Java said.

“There will be the visit of the Holy Spirit during the two days. That is why we called it Azusa Experience because Seymour believed the church can still speak with tongues like what happened on the day of the Pentecost.”

Sacrifice Chirisa, a life strategist and transformational speaker, senior pastor and co-founder of Wisdom City Ministries International and author, Ned Nedziwe, an apostolic teacher and conference speaker and mentor will grace the summit where they will lead a business segment on tomorrow on how to make if in a feminine environment.

“On this segment on Monday they shall be teaching on how to build a business and self-sustenance in a Zimbabwean situation. This will be joined with worship and ends with the equipping of the saints with an impartation of spiritual gifts,” Apostle Java said.

Apostle Java is husband of the late Vimbai Tsvangirai, a daughter of the late MDC founding leader Morgan Tsvangirai.
