Rising local hip-hop artiste King 98’s dream to conquer Africa continues to materialise with his latest single video Pull Up featuring Nigerian Zlatan Ibile gaining significant traction since its release on Friday.

The 21-year-old released a 14-track album titled Francesca in May and has been adding on to his impressive catalogue through collaborating with the continent’s heavyweights, including South African Nasty C, LayLizzy of Mozambique and Nigerian Davido — his music mentor.

“We are here to work and raise the Zimbabwean flag. King 98 as a brand is working towards success in the music industry both locally and internationally,” his manager DJ Nosh told Standard Style on Thursday.

According to Nosh, King 98 will follow up the good quality visuals, which were directed by Twitch with another video to a track titled Shoko where he features compatriot Ex-Q.

Meanwhile, King 98 seems to have stolen the hearts of many in the West African country after he posted a snippet video amid shouts of his stage name while he drove by in the streets with the caption “my second home” along with a Nigerian flag icon.
