HEAVEN Dwellers frontman Rodney Natsa (pictured below), who is set to release his maiden single this week, has likened himself to the biblical good shepherd who gives life to the sheep through gospel music.

Natsa, who is a mentee of United Kingdom-based gospel musician-cum-promoter Rhodha Tongogara, told Standard Style that he had been working on this project since August last year with Clive “Mono” Mukundu at Monolio Studios.

“I have just released my first single titled Toda Kukunamatai,” Natsa said.

“Special thanks go to my promoter Mind Chibanda of Raising Dawn Group of Companies and my manager Rhodha Masawi Tongogara, who has made this possible and she is always by my side.”

The upcoming artiste revealed that he had witnessed the hand of the Lord in his previous projects and this had inspired him to produce a song praising and thanking the Lord.

“The beauty is that of the life we have been given by the Lord, therefore, we should worship Him for giving us all that we have in life,” he said.

“Philippians 4:4 says ‘Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say to everyone rejoice’.

“I also urge every Zimbabwean at home or in the diaspora to rejoice and pray for our beloved nation.”

As on his debut album Ndiyeyu Jesu released last year, Natsa’s music is laden with emotion and depth, that is meant to create life-changing experiences for the world and the message on each song was considered with that mission in mind.

Born in February 1987, Natsa is happily married to Shupikai and is a father of two boys Tinevimbo and Tinomudaishe.
