gospel music sermon:with The Master
GOSPEL musician Forgive Mhungu is leaving no stone unturned to grow his brand in the Southern African region and has roped in top local and South African artistes on his new album set to be launched soon.
Mhungu told Standard Style that his fans would be spoilt for choice on his new project that is titled Hallelujah.
He is now working on the final touches and is confident that the album will be launched soon, followed by a video.
To add value to his brand, Mhungu has collaborated with respected South African gospel musician Buhle together with celebrated local artistes Kudzi Nyakudya, Mercy Mutsvene and Bethany Pasinawako.
“I am working on a new album and it’s almost done. However, I don’t have the launch dates yet,” Mhungu said.
“I featured Buhle from South Africa, Kudzi Nyakudya, Bethen Pasinawako and Mercy Mutsvene on the album that carries eight tracks.”
The soft-spoken Mhungu added that he was confident that his decision to work with two top producers Lyton Ngolomi and Alpha Dud on the album would also bring variety in the composition and arrangement of songs on the project.
The tracks on the album are sung in three languages, Shona, Zulu and Swahili.
Mhungu has two albums under his belt. His debut, Toriparidza Chete, was released in 2011.
Four years later he released his second album Anesu Jesu.
