Nandi, a backing vocalist at Mbeu’s Mhodzi Tribe and fashionista, is also running a successful fashion line called Feli Nandi Apparels.

The former Queen Elizabeth Girls High School student released her single Ndibateiwo on Wednesday morning and the video is already trending on video-sharing platform YouTube, garnering more than 370 views in the first four hours of its release.

Her first project titled Women, which premiered on YouTube three months ago, is a dedication to her mother.
Ndibateiwo was produced by Alicious and the video was directed by Studio Art Pictures and sponsored by Comic Pastor and Associates.

“My latest song is called Ndibateiwo and talks about depression, the mental struggles we go through every day. In the song I sing ‘Changamire, ndibateiwo, meaning Lord, I need your touch,” Nandi said.

“I was inspired to write the song together with Tofara Chimenya, The Poet, because of the stories people go through with mental issues and how they fail to confront such challenges.”

Nandi paid tribute to Mbeu, who fronts Mhodzi Tribe, for allowing her the opportunity to do it on her own.

“Mbeu and the Mhodzi Tribe are supportive of my solo projects and I am happy to have such a boss,” she said.

A mother of two boys, Nandi said she was happy working with a youthful outfit like Mhodzi Tribe, which she described as a family.

“Being a member of the Tribe has been life-changing. It’s an amazing journey, which has led me to self-discovery. The guys work so hard and I have been learning how to connect and learn from each and every one of them,” she said.
Apart from her two singles, the elegant singer did a cover video of Steve Makoni’s hit song Zvachonyana, which also is trending on online platforms.

She said she was so passionate about dressing although the main drive comes from the compliments she get from her fans.
