Gweru gospel musician Respina Patai (pictured) has facilitated a donation for Queen of Peace Rehabilitation and Crisis Centre.
The singer, popularly known as Mai Patai, is the brand ambassador of the rehabilitation centre located in Gweru’s Harben Park suburb.
Anglo Platinum-run Unki Mine donated goods, mainly groceries to the Centre, home to children.
“As ambassador, I have managed to source out donations for Queen of Peace Rehabilitation and Crisis Centre,” Mai Patai said.
“Unki Mine gave us the donation made up mainly of groceries and we are happy with such kind of gesture.”
Queen of Peace Rehabilitation and Crisis Centre rehabilitates patients with mental health challenges.
It provides them with rehabilitation, reintegration facilities and basic life skills education.

Queen of Peace Rehabilitation and Crisis Centre founder Stella Punungwe welcomed the donation saying it would go a long way in assisting them and in giving hope to the less privileged.
Meanwhile, Mai Patai encouraged Zimbabweans to look up to God, especially in these difficult times.
“In this difficult time of the pandemic and lockdown of Covid-19, let’s not cease to pray and glorify Jesus’s name,” she said.
“Let’s abide by the principle of #stayhome and stay safe and remember to wash your hands with soap because cleanliness is next to Godliness.”
“This is not the time to buy new things like clothes, cars or properties, but it’s time to share food and soap with others. Remember, we have vulnerable people ,let’s help them.”
