Dancer-cum-singer Sandra “Sandy” Ndebele (pictured), who has been making headlines and breaking the internet lately with her saucy photographs on social media, has announced that she will be releasing her new album on August 31.

The album, titled Up the Ladder, comes at a time when many artistes are postponing their releases due to the novel coronavirus, which has affected the arts landscape.

Sandy broke the news on her social media handles on Thursday morning.

“Hope everyone is fine wherever you are, Covid-19 is there and is for real. Let’s be safe, family. Album loading August 31, ziyabe zisiwa. Doing all this for my girls. The power of umfazi,” she wrote on her Instagram accompanied by another sizzling photograph.

Ndebele’s last offering was a song which featured South African artiste, Vukani, titled Impilo. The track has been showing on celebrity television channel MTV Base and other regional music television channels.

In a follow-up interview, Sandy told Standard Style that she would hold a virtual launch for the album, amid the Covid-19 lockdown.

“I will have a virtual launch for the album that will feature Mzoe 7, Jeys Marabini and Iyasa. I am ready to give fans good music and I can confirm that we will have a virtual launch since we can’t do a physical launch where people can meet and dance to the music due to the national lockdown,” she said.

“People will have to follow the proceedings on social media and then the music will be distributed on online platforms.”

Sandy has been in the music industry for two decades and she has continued to evolve herself, from being a dancer to a singer and with the recent shift on image and fashion by the 38-year- old musician and mother of three, one looks forward to see if her music will resonate with waves of change she has brought.
