Sweden-based musician Luckson Chikutu’s star continues to shine after he secured another massive gig in Stockholm where he is expected to perform on October 10.

Chikutu, affectionately known as ManLuckerz, will travel from his base in Uppsala to the Swedish capital for a gig at the majestic Klub Mariama, which is known for hosting both local and international artistes.

The Stockholm event follows another gig by ManLurckerz in Uppsala where he gave a spirited performance with doors opening for the multi-talented artiste.

The Ndundu-Madhaiza singer confirmed the gig and said he is excited that his music is being massively appreciated in Europe.

“The organiser once attended one of our concerts and he got inspired by our performance,” ManLuckerz said.

“He liked the traditional music we play and well as the way l present my live music on stage. He said it’s deep traditional presentation of the Zimbabwean music.

“I am happy that I am travelling all the way to Stockholm for the gig. This is the first time performing at Club Marriama and I am looking forward to more gigs.”

Other top African artistes who have performed at the place include Sisanda (South Africa) and Nana (Kenya), who held their gig last month, while Senegalese Tafa Ndiongue will share the stage with Swedish’s Henrik Cederblom Zobop next month.

ManLurckerz has held a number of gigs during this lockdown period through livestreaming his acts.

The Gutu-born musician fronts the multi-racial Zim Traditional-Unity band that plays Zimbabwean traditional music with finesse. Some of the band members are from Sweden and Mozambique.
