RCZ Kadoma gets new shepherdess

Reformed Church in Zimbabwe (RCZ) Kadoma City congregation has a new shepherdess, Reverend Fungai Nyemba Maenda (pictured above) who was ordained on September 12 at Kadoma Dutch Hall, amid pomp and ceremony.

A mother of four, married to Gift Maenda, Kadoma’s new pastor was mentored at Murray Theological College, headed by Reverend Rangarirai Rutoro. She was coming from the Reverend Haisa-led Seke Central congregation.

Reverend Maenda was ordained by the church’s actuary Dr Reverend Ezekiel Baloyi at a colourful ceremony graced by high-ranking RCZ leadership, including moderator Reverend Isaac Pandasvika, general secretary Reverend Tafadzwa Masimba, vice-secretary Ruth Hwaire and the entire membership of moderators.

Many pastors from various congregations around the country also attended the ordination.

Reverend Maenda’s mother Irene Nyemba and her mentor Gift Mabhaudhi were among the 300 guests.
