Four Glendale-based robbers were sent to jail after they attacked a fellow resident and left him for dead after robbing him of his US$1800
Karagan Garamukanwa, Gladmore Matambo, Josiah Tazivei and Thabang were sentenced to four years each for attempted murder by Bindura magistrate Elisha Singano last week.
The quartet attempted to kill Makington Mutyavaviri at Tsungubvi bar in Glendale.
Prosecutor Edward Katsvairo said on October 24 last year, Mutyavaviri arrived at Tsungubvi bar driving his Mark X vehicle and was carrying US$1800.
The four in an attempt to rob him of his money deflated the tyres of his vehicle before severely assaulting him.
The convicts stopped assaulting him after he fainted thinking he was dead and they fled the scene.
