A violent clash between two gangs of illegal miners in Mazowe over a sex worker left one man dead.
The fight, which occurred at Nduku Business Centre, resulted in the death of John Banda after he was stabbed in the rib cage.
Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the murder case.
Gift Machingaife and Terrence Langton allegedly had a disagreement over a sex worker at Nduku Business Centre in Mazowe.
During the argument, Langton stabbed Machingaife in the shoulder. Machingaife survived the injury.
He later mobilized a gang of illegal miners, led by Sam Kasinakuse, to attack Langton's group.
The two gangs fought using logs and knives, resulting in John Banda being fatally stabbed in the rib cage.
His body was taken to Concession Hospital mortuary.
