DYNAMOS have been handed a major boost ahead of the tough trip to ZPC Kariba with the potential return of star player Tanaka "Kante" Shandirwa.
The midfielder has had struggles with injuries of late and missed his team's win over log leaders Ngezi Platinum Stars on Wednesday.
But he is set for a timely return to the fold after he was involved in training with the rest of the squad on Friday.
His availability is a welcome relief to Dynamos coach Genesis Mangombe who will be without Donald Mudadi after the midfielder was shown a redcard in the last match for dissent.
“Shandirwa is now fine and has been training well," Mangombe said. "He is available for selection but he has to prove that he deserves a place in the team. A decision will be made on that after analyzing all the players.
“We registered 30 players and we are teaching them the same philosophy and like I said before, we have a bunch of committed players who all want to excel. Remember we played the last game without him and we won. That is what Dynamos is about," he added.
Mangombe bemoaned the absence of Mudadi who has been arguably their best player this far.
The midfielder was shown two yellow cards for delaying his departure from the field following a substitution.

“We would have loved to have all our players for every game. Unfortunately, there is a forced change on Mudadi and it’s sad he was booked under those circumstances."
Mangombe said his team is brimming with confidence following their massive midweek win that put them within eight points off the log leaders with six matches remaining. Dynamos have a game in hand.
He was, however, quick to warn his players against complacency.
“We are going there on the back of a very good result against Ngezi Platinum Stars. So my prayer is that we don’t get complacent. We need to keep focus because this is not going to be an easy match for us.
“ZPC Kariba are at home and it is not easy for any team during this time of the year to go and play in Kariba because of the high temperatures."
Dynamos are on third position on the log with 46 points while ZPC Kariba are just above the relegation zone on 13th place with 33 points.
The Luke Masomere coached side are going into the match with their confidence at rock-bottom after they were hammered 4-0 at Chicken Inn on Wednesday.
But they have a very good record at home, where they have lost just once in their last 10 matches, winning five including a come from behind 2-1 win over defending champions FC Platinum the last time out.
“We are also mindful of them since they are a team that is in the relegation zone," Mangombe said. "They are capable of doing anything to survive. Remember they managed to upset champions FC Platinum recently. We do not want to fall into the same pitfall. I believe we have done our preparations well. There is healthy competition for places in the team and the players are enjoying it. Everyone wants to do well for the team."
