GHANAIAN striker Emmanuel Paga rose from the bench to score the goal that gave struggling giants Dynamos their second win of the season in a pulsating league encounter at Rufaro Stadium yesterday.

It has been a tough start to the season for the Glamour Boys who had one win in their first six matches, having lost twice and drawn three times prior to the TelOne win.

After it looked like the match was headed for a draw Paga grabbed the only goal of the match 12 minutes from time to give Dynamos their first win at Rufaro Stadium since its reopening.

Dynamos coach Genesis Mangombe, who has been under pressure in recent weeks, was pleased with the team’s win.

“We wanted to win playing at Rufaro and that will bring back the confidence to the boys. Dynamos are used to winning so we need to bring back the glamour by winning at home. I am happy because there were [moments] when we were thinking that we cannot score at Rufaro and we are happy that we managed to break the jinx,” he said.

Mangombe admitted to feeling the pressure of not winning.

“The premier soccer league is a long marathon and of course as a coach you want to win and if you do not win you pile pressure on yourself and then you cannot properly concentrate on your work especially coach a big team like Dynamos who are always demanding results.”

TelOne coach Tendai Chikuni felt his team strugglednto contain Dynamos.

"If you at our first half we struggled in the midfield. We failed to contain them from the wings because they were coming in numbers . Dynamos missed a lot of chances. If you look at the guys who scored the goal it was after a number of touches without someone pressurising him," he said.
