Coach Lloyd Mutasa was delighted with the win, which he referred to as sweet.
"For a start I would like to say glory to God. I think we would not have done this without the Almighty. And winning against Scotland is so sweet because at one occasion I wanted to give up coaching football because of what transpired last year. I know this was a very massive game and that was going to probably take away everything that we have build from first game to game number 14 has we lost this match. I am very much pleased that at least for once we have managed to make the people of Norton happy if not people from all over the country," he said.
It was a mat h which generated a lot of interest the whole week and the tickets were sold out days before the showdown.
Scottland started the stronger of the two teams and Mthokozisi Msebe had the first chance of the game which saw Martin Mapisa drew a smart low save after just eight minutes.
Nigel Matinha rising shot just outside the box was punched out of play by an alert Chadya with a quarter of an hour played.
MWOS who had slowly crept out of their cocoon hit the cross bar from a set piece, Tafadzwa Mutyambizi's rising effort taking a deflection before bouncing off the woodwork.
Veremu also drew a brilliant save from Chadya from distance as the two teams went for the break deadlocked.
Scottland started the second half strongly, but against the run of play conceded following a MWOS FC short corner kick.
With Scottland piling on the pressure, referee Thabani Ruzario twisted his ankle about 20 minutes into the second half causing a 12 minute stoppage and he to be replaced fourth assistant referee.
And after the match resumed, Scottland were making too many mistakes as they were seemingly in a hurry to restore parity.
Scottland coach Tonderai Ndiraya attributed the defeat to the team's poor attitude.
"I think we started slowly, if you ask me, we started slowly. The body language was not good from our end. In fact, I thought the first five to 10 minutes we were a bit okay, but after that I think we were playing second fiddle, most of the time to control the game until half-time.
"And then I think I'm mostly disappointed by the way we then conceded in the second half. Those moments happened in the first half. We corrected it at half-time, but again, we conceded a very silly goal, if you ask me. With the experience that we had in the team, you don't expect us to be conceding the way we conceded today.
"The corner kick was taken quickly, and then from that moment, where we have all the time to quickly organise ourselves and defend such a set-piece, you are then disappointed as a coach, very disappointed," he said.
MWOS now have 30 points and are four points clear of second placed Simba Bhora on 26.
Scottland remained in third place with 23 points from 14 matches after suffering their second defeat of the season.
