Relegation-threatened GreenFuel finally found a lifeline, securing a dramatic and crucial 2-1 victory over Chicken Inn in Chisumbanje yesterday, ending a four-match winless streak.
The invaluable three points saw the side leap from 17th to a slightly safer 15th position on the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League table.
The GreenFuel faithful were kept on edge throughout the clash. After a tight first half, visitors Chicken Inn broke the deadlock soon after the restart through Lincoln Mangaira.

The hero of the day emerged late in the game when Washington Mapiwa confidently converted a penalty, securing the vital three points for his side.
