That is the question being asked over and over again following revelations that the players are still to receive the Kia Selos vehicles they were promised for winning the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title.
Some of the players even jokingly revealed that they were still using kombis and other forms of public transport as the Kia Selos promise was still to be honoured four months down the line.
That coming on the backdrop that the 2026 players are still to receive the US$10 000 per head promised for finishing top of the table at half season with claims that only US$30 000 was released for the whole team.
Lest we also forget that the Aquas promised to Scottland players for winning the 2024 Northern Region One championship were later on handed over to a selected few instead of the whole team as promised.
The question is: Is the Scottland house built on false promises ?
Surely, that string of events makes us begin to question whether the Mabvuku Stadium project will really be finished in the promised time and in its designed form ?
Some have accused us of having an agenda against Mabviravira and in particular its owner Scott Sakupwanya, but we are just saying clubs should practice what they preach.
What we are simply telling Sakupwanya and all the other clubs is that they should only talk when giving out and not to make noise through promises and pledges.

Surely, Sakupwanya is not obliged to buy the vehicles nor to pay the US$10 000 per player promise nor is answerable to anyone since all were his offers but the fact that he shouted about it, makes it of public interest.
What is surprising is that those who took to their pens to tell the nation about the exciting vehicle and US$10 000 promise have not told the same nation that the players received or did not receive what they were promised.
What we feel the media should do is to avoid the word promise and give credit to Vincent Chawonza when he has given Dynamos players an extra US$2 000 each for beating Hwange and not when he promises to give.
However, one thing we know for sure is that the 27 Scottland players are still waiting for their Kia Selos for winning the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title.
