Inside sport: What triggered Harry Lusengo's behaviour ?

Harry Lusengo

Imagine Harry Lusengo being the owner of Dynamos Football Club ?

There would be total chaos as the behaviour he exhibited on August 21, afternoon, at the team's training ground gave the impression that he is somehow a deranged man.

Even a man driven to drunken state by musombodhiya or mutoriro does not behave the way he did in ordering his team's own players off the team bus and telling them to find their own way home.

Worse still, this man used his own vehicle to block the team bus' passage in order to make sure that it would not leave for as long as the players were on board.

Imagine this is the heir apparent to the throne of Dynamos club owner in the wake of the demise of his father or when his father decides to put aside the Dynamos business.

Ironically, his father — Benard Marriot — who owns Dynamos Football Club even gave him the post of team and kit manager whose major responsibility is to take care of the welfare of the players.

Sadly, though, instead of taking care of the welfare of the players, Harry is busy dampening their spirits in these times of crisis where they are fighting relegation.

In fact, Harry's appointment as kit and team manager raises questions about Marriot's decision making as his son does not have a clue as to what exactly the job is all about.

Although Marriot can be forgiven in his other previous bad choice appointments, he will never be forgiven for bringing his son into the Dynamos administrative set up and the chaos that has followed.

The question is: What exactly triggered such behaviour from Harry — a man — whose family is benefitting heavily financially from this club they call Dynamos?

Is he so frustrated with Dynamos' standing on the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League table to the extent that he has resigned to fate and just wants the team to go?

Could this be the reason why he no longer cares about the players and what they mean to Dynamos Football Club?

Or was he just intoxicated?

Whatever the case is, this man has brought so much harm to the DeMbare family and should not be seen anywhere closer to Dynamos players as he is a danger to their safety.

Allowing such characters to hang around for longer presents a chance of even more damaging incidents to follow than the one gone by.

Dynamos claim they have suspended Harry — on top of other sanctions — but that is not enough as this man should not be allowed anywhere closer to a stadium where Dynamos plays.

In fact, he has also turned into a danger for himself as there are too many 'angry' Dynamos followers unhappy with his actions and could vent their anger on him at stadiums.

Surely, Harry Lusengo owes the Dynamos family an explanation on why he behaved the way he did  Was it frustration or intoxication?
