All is not well in the cockpit

I hope the story about Pokello Nare and her opulent 40th birthday celebrations in Italy somehow helped to open the eyes of some Zimbabweans, who still believe in this regime.

My Dear People

I know that I am beginning to sound like a broken record, but I want to repeat that all is not well in the cockpit.

A cabal in the ruining party is burning the midnight oil in a futile attempt to stop the Generari from taking over from Ngwena by trying to revive the moribund 2030 agenda.

As we heard to the annual conference set for Mutare next month, we are going to see lot of strange things happening in the ruining party.

Last week it was the hastily arranged politburo meeting that was held in the absence of Generari, who was on state business in India.

Duggish was also out of the country as Ngwena cut a lone figure while addressing a room where the majority of people were half asleep.

He pretended to be reading the riot act to Cde Manhize and Mr Bin, who were recently involved in a public spat over the co-option of a certain tycoon into the central committee.

After Generari blocked the controversial co-option, Cde Manhize called a press conference where he could not hide his excitement about the misfortune of someone he considers a rival in the race to succeed the Scarfed One.

Mr Bin, who is clearly in someone’s pockets hit back through a rambling post on X where he claimed that the co-option was actually a done deal.

At some point he deleted the post, only to repost it in the wee hours of the morning. It was clearly a high stakes game.

We later learnt that Harare province had to redo the co-option after all that drama and the politburo meeting was meant to rubber stamp the process, but it looks like the Generari’s people were ahead of the plotters and the matter has gone quite again.

However, it is quite clear for anyone who has the slightest clue about how politics in the ruining party that Rome is burning and it will not end well.

As we head to the national conference you must all buy some popcorn and enjoy the drama.

Talking about the Generari’s sojourn to India, it was interesting to see how he was  completely blacked out by the state controlled rags and DeadBC.

His high profile meetings were hardly covered. Dr Amai 11, who now calls herself Mother Zimbabwe, was getting by far more coverage than the Generari kikikiki

It seems people did not learn anything at all from my exploits in the last days of Gushungo’s long and iron fisted rule. Some people are playing with fire.

I hope the story about Pokello Nare and her opulent 40th birthday celebrations in Italy somehow helped to open the eyes of some Zimbabweans, who still believe in this regime.

Pokello, who is known to many as a former Big Brother Africa star, is widely believed to be one of the sons’ mistress. I know that she is not Dr Amai 11’s favourite, but the rumours about her romantic involvement with the son refuse to go away.

Her story was all over the place last week after she  took to social media to boast about her lavish birthday celebrations at Lake Como last weekend with more than a dozen friends.

She posted about surprising her entourage with a Dior fragrance and at one point posted that she “woke up feeling like Oprah.”  Pokello documented the lavish trip and posted it on her Instagram page, which angered most Zimbabweans.

Some started sharing their stories about how they have been victims of an economy that is collapsing under the weight of corruption and looting.

We can speculate all we want about Pokello’s source of money, but we all know the story. This cabal has never been interested in the suffering masses.

They did not roll out the tanks against Gushungo because they wanted to change your material conditions, but it was all about their stomachs.

I am glad that eight years after that cowardly coup, the chickens are coming home to roost.

The public display of nearly two dozen newly-acquired Chinese armoured vehicles in Harare last week by the military sent tongues wagging.

There was intense debate after Joji shared a short video of the hardware that was being paraded on the streets, which included a mix of Norinco PTL-02 wheeled assault guns armed with 105mm cannons and WZ551 armoured personnel carriers various configurations.

In December 2023 China donated to Zimbabwe military equipment worth US$28 million. My suspicion is that this equipment was from that consignment, but I don’t want to be part of that speculation because that would not put food on the table for millions of suffering Zimbabweans.

The boasting about the government’s military might was another misplaced priority by this clueless cabal.

Zimbabwe is a peaceful country and is coexisting with neighbours, who are busy growing their economies and will never see a war as priority.

Are these people now so afraid of the people that they think rolling out tanks will buy them peace while they eat?
