Luxury cars prioritised over dying hospitals

My Dear People,

The Scarfmore interview with state hacks was as revealing as it was repulsive.

Given the tone of the interview with state media editors, one would have been forgiven for thinking this was an interview by "Journalists for ED."

The sight of Reuuuuuuben nearly running out of breath in congratulating the "scarfed one" for the successful butchering of the constitution—otherwise known as Constitutional Amendment No. 3—during this so-called interview was as embarrassing as it was humorous.

One question to the scarfed one on the economy by one editor raised eyebrows, as he preceded the question by describing the state of the economy as "unprecedented stability."

It was almost as if the questions had been provided by the octogenarian himself (kkkkk). It is little wonder why the interview was conducted by state editors only.

However, the slob… oops, sorry… interview exposed Scarfmore’s feigned reluctance to extend his term of office as a load of cobblers.

He said he was happy that the bill to extend his vapid leadership—characterised by entrenched poverty, deterioration of the health sector, constitutional gaffes, currency failures, and job losses—had been passed by a parliament which, at best, can be described as dodgy.

The fight by the scarfed one to cling to power tenaciously, despite vowing he would not be swayed to do so, has proved Gushungo was right when he said that his former deputy did not have a shred of probity.

Munopengaaa!!!

The extent of the incompetence of this "disposition of poverty, darkness, and confusion" has been exposed by the Economist Intelligence Unit, which revealed that the country’s capital city was one of the ten worst cities globally.

The EIU’s Global Liveability Index is an annual report that ranks cities across the globe on how attractive they are to live in across five main categories: stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure.

The findings are not surprising, given that the city is run by a city council that prioritises gallivanting for workshops while drawing huge amounts of money from taxpayers in per diems at the expense of service delivery.

Such findings are synonymous with a regime that prioritises the dishing out of state-of-the-art vehicles to village chiefs, musicians, and comedians ahead of dilapidated public hospitals, which have turned into death traps lacking even basic medication such as painkillers.

Indeed, the findings of this study are hardly shocking, given how the Scarfmore regime has disgracefully diverted funding meant to pay for disadvantaged schoolchildren to prepare for hosting Sadc meetings.

The findings of this study just go to show how the capital city has "gone to the dogs" since the so-called Second Republic was propelled into power on the back of guns and tanks.

Munopengaaa!!!

It is a reflection of how the country’s democracy has virtually collapsed since the shameful removal of Gushungo—the epitome of wisdom and telescopic foresight—when researchers are afraid to reveal findings for fear of their lives.

We were told the  lead researcher  of a survey that claimed the majority of Zimbabweans supported CAB3 revealed that the survey on the reaction of the country’s citizens to the desecration of the constitution could not be published in full, as it would endanger his life.

He reportedly dismissed findings of the survey published in "state rags," which painted a rosy picture of the popularity of the pillaging of the country’s supreme law.

This is a damning indictment of the "dispensation of poverty, darkness, and confusion," that even academics are fearful of revealing findings for fear of their lives.

This latest episode continues to show how democracy has gone down the drain under the so-called second republic, which has been characterised by the effective ban of demonstrations against the regime and the prolonged arrest of activists, opposition politicians, and journalists without trial for those critical of this inept regime.

Given such levels of repression, it is ironic and laughable that the "scarfed one" is launching the African Peer Review Mechanism, meant to strengthen democratic governance and accountability.

Munopengaaaa!!!

Stop It!
