Local artistes geared up for Chigumira show

Sandra Ndebele said she will sample a new track today.

RISING Bulawayo artists who will perform alongside high riding Holy Ten and Sandra Ndebele, have promised to exhibit energetic performances.

The event, organised by the Brian Samuriwo Foundation, will be held today at Chigumira open space in Luveve and will feature entertainment, a soccer match and a health expo.

Mawiza, Vinnie King, GTI, Sheilah T, Bad Man, DJ Dynamite, Psycho Tek, DJ Fraize are the local artistes who will support the two main acts.

“I am ready for the gig, it’s been a long time since I performed in Luveve and it’s good to share my music with the people here,” Mawiza said.

“I promise nothing but an energetic act that will usher in new music to the fans with a blend of the old ones.”

Sandra Ndebele said she will sample a new track today.

“I will be releasing a new track this coming week and the Chigumira show will be a good platform to sample it with fans before its release,” she said.

The organiser of the event Brian Samuriwo is an aspiring member of parliament for -Emakhandeni constituency under the Zanu PF ticket.

Samuriwo, through his foundation, has been leading free health outreaches in the constituency.

The programme has so far seen more than 150 people being attended to, especially the elderly being tested and treated for diabetes and hypertension

The health expo is meant to complement the free medical outreaches that Samuriwo recently spearheaded in the suburbs of Luveve, Emakhandeni and Gwabalanda.

“We have a team of four doctors and a pharmacist on site and the programme is open to everyone despite political affiliation. We will continue running the programme even after the elections.

We also want to empower the youths and to take them out of the streets which have exposed them to alcohol, drugs and substance abuse,” he said.
