Time is running out for Dynamos to start winning matches and avoid relegation from the 18 team Castle Lager Premier Soccer League family to Division One.
As of Friday, July 11, DeMbare were second from bottom on the table in 17th position with only 15 points from 18 matches - two wins, nine draws and seven loses.
They were five points behind Manica Diamonds who occupied the first safe relegation place in 14th place with 20 points from 18 matches.
In between Manica Diamonds and Dynamos were Triangle in 15th place with 18 points, Yadah in 16th position with 17 points and below DeMbare were KweKwe United with a paltry seven points and in 18th place.
Surely, things are not going on well for one of Zimbabwe's biggest football teams who have already fired coach Lloyd Chigowe despite not giving him money to aquire new players.
Even the future of Saul Chaminuka who replaced Chigowe is not guaranteed as he is not in a position to strengthen his team fully due to financial constraints.
Question are also being raised as to why Chaminuka himself accepted the job of coaching Dynamos without giving his own conditions because the situation at DeMbare right now is not good for any coach.
Should he be allowed to stay on until the end of the season, Chaminuka risks going into the history books as the only coach ever to send Dynamos to Division One football.

The old players - that the media reports - are the target for acquisition, the likes of Ocean Mushure, and Denver Mukamba - amongst others - are not good enough even for Division One football.
Surely, Dynamos might not have money to attract exceptionally gifted players but there are better ways of trying to save their lives than the route they want to take.
Others are even of the thinking that Dynamos even blundered worse as Chaminuka himself was not the best to take charge of the club in this time of crisis - they consider him 'too small' for such a 'big team's as Dynamos.
Dynamos' departure from the Premiership - should it happen - would constitute a grievous blow to the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League as DeMbare are one of the league's cash cows.
Most of the clubs in the Premiership admit that they get their biggest pay check of the year from gate takings after playing Dynamos at home.
The PSL's loss, though, would be to the gain of the Zifa Northern Region as the club would most likely take with them thousands of their most loyal fans who would be enough to fill stadiums in Division One in 2026.
The idea now is for Dynamos to fight on and do everything to the best of their ability to win matches and avoid the drop to the unfashionable world of Division One football.
The notion that teams will be increased should Dynamos finish among the bottom four is an old belief because already the PSL is operating with more teams than what their constitution provides or permits.
Even if the teams were to be increased to 20, Dynamos will still be relegated should they finish in the bottom two - and probably just above Kwekwe United.
Club owner Bernard Marriot has been getting most of the criticism for the team's drastic flip flop not because he is the hands-on-man but because he appointed the wrong people to run the club.
That Dynamos are in this financial situation is not because people out there are not willing to help but because they are not happy with the way the club is being run by the Moses Maunganidze-led leadership.
The people out there miss the days of Isaiah Mupfurutsa and before that of Keni Mubaiwa and only hope that Marriot will open his eyes to see reality and act fast before the team drops.
Surely, if Marriot is really serious about the future of his team, he should review the performance of his club leadership to see whether they deserve an extra day in office or not.
At the rate things are going, it will not come as a surprise should Dynamos go down the drain in the same way that Arcadia United, Black Aces, and Zimbabwe Saints went.
Football has changed - Clubs no longer live on reputation or history but on current form and sound leadership.
