Pavcon Industries embraces AI to modernize production

Local concrete manufacturer Pavcon Industries has embraced cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), as part of efforts to enhance efficiency and modernise production in line with the government’s Vision 2030.

Pavcon Industries director, Shelton Paza, confirmed the development, saying the adoption of AI-driven systems would streamline operations, reduce costs and improve product quality in the construction supply chain.

“This is a deliberate move to ensure that our operations remain competitive, efficient and sustainable in line with the country’s infrastructural trajectory under the Second Republic,” Paza said.

He added that Pavcon had also introduced flexible payment schemes to cushion clients against prevailing economic challenges, a move that has been positively received by customers across the country.

“We are happy that our customers have welcomed the new payment arrangements. This innovation is in sync with the government's thrust of leaving no one and no place behind as we contribute towards accelerated infrastructure development,” Paza noted.

Pavcon’s new strategy comes at a time when the country is experiencing an infrastructure boom, with roads, dams, housing and other key projects being rolled out nationwide.

By fusing traditional concrete manufacturing with AI-driven solutions, the company seeks to set new industry standards while supporting national development objectives.

Industry observers say Pavcon’s bold step not only positions the company as a market leader, but also demonstrates how private players can align with Vision 2030, which envisages an upper middle-income economy by the end of the decade.
