Two of Africa’s leading gospel voices, South African powerhouse Ntokozo Mbambo and Zimbabwe’s own Janet Manyowa, will share the stage at the Call to Worship Global 17th Anniversary Worship Night in the Harare Gardens in the capital on October 11.
Now widely regarded as one of Zimbabwe’s most important interdenominational worship gatherings, the highly anticipated event is expected to draw thousands of believers for a night of worship, prayer, and fellowship.
They will be joined by the Call to Worship Global Choir and the AFM of Zimbabwe Worship Team, in what looks set to be a dynamic and unforgettable experience.
Speaking ahead of the event, Manyowa said the invitation and opportunity to minister at the landmark worship event was both exciting and inspiring.
“It is an incredible honour for me to be part of this year’s Call to Worship event,” she said.
“To stand alongside worship leaders like Ntokozo Mbambo and many others is amazing.
“For me, it’s not just about sharing a stage but joining hearts with fellow ministers who carry the same passion to lift up the name of Jesus high and to lead His people into His presence,” Manyowa said.
Since its founding in 2008, Call to Worship Global has become a unique platform for galvanising unity in the body of Christ.

What began as a vision to create a unified altar of worship has grown into a nationwide movement, mobilising more than 200 churches and drawing thousands of worshippers annually.
Reflecting on the journey, Apostle Philip Pike, co-founder of Call to Worship Global, said the mission was never about building stages but about creating atmospheres.
“Seventeen years ago, this movement was birthed out of a desire to unite Zimbabwe in worship,” he said. “It was never about putting up lights and sound equipment, but about cultivating an atmosphere where one voice, one altar, and one sound would rise to the King of Kings.”
This year’s Worship Night will be held under a theme inspired by 1 Chronicles 29:11, which highlights the majesty and sovereignty of God.
“In a world searching for answers, God is calling Zimbabwe back to the highest posture: worship,” Pike said. “We are not gathering for entertainment or tradition. We are gathering to place the crown where it belongs — to acknowledge His majesty not only with our songs, but with our lives.”
Call To Worship co-founder Pastor Charlotte Pike stressed that prayer and intercession remain central to the ministry’s work.
“Every (musical) note is backed by prayer. Every song is a declaration. We gather to shift atmospheres and lift up the name of Jesus,” she explained.
