Yeukai Mangwaza back in studio

Mangwaza said their work is guided by faith and a mission to spread the word of God.

Rising Gweru-based gospel musician, Yeukai Mangwaza, together with her musical outfit The Voice from Paradise, is back in the studio to record promotional visuals for some of her songs.

Speaking to Standard Style in Gweru, Mangwaza — affectionately known as the Mother of Nations — said the new projects will be released before the end of the year.

“One of the songs, Amai (2024), I wrote and dedicated to my late mother, who passed away on December 25, 2001. This coming December, as a family, we are going to remember her with this offering, a musical video,” she said.

“The other videos were requested by fans.”

Some of the songs to be turned into videos include Ropa raJesu (2023), featuring Pastor Edmore Mungoyo, Mweya Mutsvene (2024), and Miyai Naye (2025), featuring Chris Bright and Prisca Machinda.

Mangwaza said their work is guided by faith and a mission to spread the word of God.

“It is our earnest prayer that God continues to use us as instruments in preaching to the masses. We have seen His miracles, signs and wonders. That alone tells us He is leading the way, and we are determined to do everything according to His will,” she said.

Born in 1990 in Gutu District, Masvingo, Mangwaza’s passion for gospel music was ignited during her days in the Scripture Union.

A member of Christ In Action International Church, she grew up in ZAOGA where she was part of the praise and worship team — an experience she says helped shape her ministry.

“Growing up in a God-fearing family molded me into the person I am today. That background gave me a deep desire to preach the word of God through gospel music,” she said.

Mangwaza officially has one album to her name, Hakuna Hondo (2024), which carries six tracks.

She has also released two singles — Ropa raJesu (2023) featuring Pastor Mungoyo and Miyai Naye (2025), featuring Chris Bright and Prisca Machinda.

“As a faith-driven musical company, our mission is to preach the good news to every part of the world through inspirational gospel music,” added the Mother of Nations.
