Local music fans are in for a treat as rising sungura musician Mr Favour Veflambo, born Anywere Mukani, gears up to launch his highly anticipated 2025 album titled Kudyiwa Netsananguro at the end of next month at Rubiks Bar and Restaurant in Harare.

The event, which promises to be a night of enriching music, will feature a stellar line-up of supporting acts, including Chipo Muchegwa, Shantel Sithole, Mathew Perego, Romeo Gasa, Trymore Bande, Obert Chari, Baba Tobby, Akiesherminds and Sir Arthur, among others.

Mr Favour Veflambo, known for his expressive voice and lyrical depth, said the new project carries a message of hope, faith and perseverance in the face of life’s trials.

“Kudyiwa Netsananguro is social commentary and speaks about divine understanding — that sometimes our pain and challenges are lessons from God meant to shape us. I want the album to inspire people to trust in God’s timing,” he said.

The launch will bring together musicians from various genres, blending gospel, traditional and contemporary sounds.

One of the event coordinators said preparations were already at an advanced stage, with fans expected from across the country.

“This will be more than just an album launch — it’s a celebration of faith, collaboration and Zimbabwean talent. We are creating a platform that unites artists and audiences through meaningful music,” he said.

The launch venue, Rubiks Bar and Restaurant — located along the Bulawayo Road after Warren Park roundabout — is turning to be a popular spot for live music showcases and cultural gatherings.

Mr Favour confirmed his sponsors including Boss Mugova, Freight Architect Zimbabwe, Dr Muzeza, Dr Johannes Marisa, Tapera Shoko, King Zenda Borehole Drilling Company, Tamlink and the host Rubiks Club and Restaurant.

The album  Kudyiwa Netsananguro is expected to include songs such as Maronda, Amen Amen, which features Sulumani Chimbetu, Girlfriend, Lydia, Vamwene and Murongi Weramangwana, with production handled by some of the country’s top sungura producers.

Fans can look forward to an energetic night of song and dance, as Mr Favour Veflambo continues to cement his position among Zimbabwe’s leading sungura artists.
