As the festive season gathers momentum, Grace Abound Church is once again turning Christmas into a living testimony of love, compassion and service.
On Monday, the church hosted a Christmas party for the elderly, persons with disabilities and the less privileged in Kwekwe, in an outreach that reflected the true spirit of the season — giving without expecting anything in return.
The event, hosted by Prophet Effort Vakai Maposa, was more than a celebration.
It was a statement of faith in action.
Against a backdrop of song, prayer and fellowship, the church opened its doors to those often forgotten during festive celebrations, ensuring they too experience dignity, joy and belonging.
For many beneficiaries, the gathering offered a rare moment of recognition.
Wheelchairs were pushed not as symbols of limitation, but of inclusion.
Elderly men and women, some living alone and others burdened by poverty, are welcomed as honoured guests.

Food parcels, clothing and practical support are shared, but the most powerful gift remains human connection.
Maposa said the Christmas party was rooted in Christ’s teachings of caring for “the least among us,” adding that the outreach has grown over the years into a hallmark of Grace Abound Church’s social ministry.
“Christmas is not just about lights and gifts,” said.
“It is about restoring hope, affirming life and reminding the vulnerable that they matter.”
The celebration also served as a call to action, encouraging congregants and the wider community to embrace a culture of generosity beyond the holiday season.
Grace Abound Church’s Christmas party promised to transform a single day into a lasting memory — one where faith meets humanity, and love abounds.
