Kurai, Saintfloew set to ignite Kadoma Odyssey

Representing the cutting edge of Zim-Hip-hop, Saintfloew brings a raw, street-smart energy that resonates deeply with the youth.

The Kadoma Odyssey continues its streak as the heart of Zimbabwean entertainment tonight, hosting a dynamic double-bill for its popular Jam Sessions.

The poolside stage will feature a unique sonic blend of soulful Chimurenga rhythms of Kurai Makore and the high-energy urban sounds of hip-hop star Saintfloew.

True to tradition, these Sunday sessions remain free for ladies, maintaining their reputation as the go-to weekend wind-down in the City of Gold.

This follows a successful 2026 season opener on December 4, which saw stellar performances from Tryson Chimbetu, Hulungende and Shone.

Often hailed as the “Prince of Chimurenga”, Makore is the torchbearer of a legendary musical legacy.

As the nephew of the iconic Thomas Mapfumo, Kurai has mastered the art of blending the mbira’s spiritual resonance with modern electric arrangements.

His music carries deep social commentary and cultural pride, making him a favorite for fans of authentic Zimbabwean sounds.

Representing the cutting edge of Zim-Hip-hop, Saintfloew brings a raw, street-smart energy that resonates deeply with the youth.

His ability to fuse trap influences with local sensibilities has made him one of the most sought-after performers in the country.

The Odyssey has evolved from a local hangout into a premier international entertainment hub.

Under the vision of Tich Mharadze, the venue has put Kadoma on the global map by hosting massive events like the July Festival and the Kadoma Music Festival.

The venue is famous for bringing world-class talent to Kadoma, having previously hosted Jamaican icons like Chris Martin and Busy Signal alongside local giants like Winky D and Freeman.

“The event is a way of mixing different genres and sounds on the same stage,” said Tich Mharadze.

“We are bringing a blend of different artists and the people of Kadoma are loving it. We hope to bring more artists and more fun and live music to the people.”
