JUSTICE deputy minister and Mazowe South MP Nobert Mazungunye on Friday joined hands with a traditional healer, Peter Chingudzi, popularly known as Sekuru Nyangatayani, in fighting drug abuse in his constituency.
The duo spoke at a function organised by the Youth ministry at Chibara farm in Mazowe.
The event was graced by stakeholders from the Health ministry, Justice ministry, pastors and traditional healers.
Mazungunye said drugs were a menace and he would make time to help in the fight against them.
“The fight against drugs calls for a collective approach and l will definitely make time in this province to assist in the fight,” he said.
“l will also share the good news to provincial leadership so that we deal with the issue for good as a province.”
Sekuru Nyangatayani said youths should listen to their elders and shun drugs.
“Drugs are killing the nation as well as killing youths,” he said.

“The youths should listen to elders and shun drugs, the community leaders are working day in and out to curb drug abuse so do your part by not involving yourselves in drug abuse.”
Some inmates also took time to educate youths to stop drug abuse as drugs may lead them to prison.
Pastors also echoed the same sentiments calling people to seek God first and stop drugs.
