UNDERFIRE Dynamos coach Genesis Mangombe heaved a sigh of relief after his team clinched the independence trophy by beating rivals Highlanders in Murambinda yesterday.
Mangombe praised his charges admitting that it was a sweet revenge after they lost to the same opponents last year.
Bosso defeated DeMbare 5-3 after a penalty shoot-out last year in Mt Darwin.
Highlanders won the 2022 edition with a 1-0 win over DeMbare at Barbourfields Stadium.
The Bulawayo giants also beat Dynamos in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer league tie at Barbourfieds last month.
"I think we did well as a team, it was good revenge for us after we lost to the same team, the win is a major boost,” Mangombe said

The gaffer has been under pressure following a spate of poor results.
His counterpart Kelvin Kaindu who fielded a second-string side said his charges were undone by conceding an early goal.
"We were unsettled by an early goal. We fielded our second-string as we are trying to give everyone a chance. We had an attempt which hit the crossbar and we almost scored,” Kaindu said.
"We will continue to fight as a team as we have important fixtures ahead.”
Highlanders are enjoying a good start to the season.
Dynamos started the match on a high note with midfielder Donald Mudadi scoring the solitary goal two minutes into the match after Bosso defenders lost concentration.
