The decision by Dynamos to walk out of the field of play at Mandava Stadium after FC Platinum were awarded a penalty speaks volumes of how low DeMbare has sunk.
DeMbare — or whatever they now call them — are the big brother — that other teams look up to for guidance and for them to behave in that manner tells us how far the team has lost it on and off the field of play.
And for former Warriors assistant coach Saul Chaminuka to lead the walkout, raises questions of his suitability to handle Zimbabwe's most popular football team and how he was selected for the Warriors job in the first place.
Such actions from Chaminuka and Dynamos are an instigator of violence but luckily - because of the Benard Marriot factor — Dynamos no longer have fans who follow them religiously.
Yes, fine, the referee Quedisani Dirwai might have been wrong, but for Dynamos to take matters into their own hands by walking off the pitch was a coward way of resolving matters.
We are saying the referee might have been wrong because we are not the best of judges for such issues or he might also have been right in his decision to award FC Platinum a penalty.
Even those who are condemning Dirwai because of a similar incident involving Scottland and Chicken Inn are totally wrong because the Mandava debacle and the Rufaro issue are completely different.
However, we urge Zifa to have a look at Dirwai's performance beyond the Mandava and Rufaro incidents and see whether he deserves to continue handling PSL football or should be given time to rest to read the laws of the game once again.

Zifa should also take its time to review whether suspending controversial referees for a few games and then allowing them back to handle PSL matches is the solution to the crisis instead of demoting them to handle lower division football. That aside. What is disturbing is the silence from the Moses Maunganidze led Dynamos leadership who see nothing wrong in their team's actions and have not bothered to apologise to all those who paid to watch the match.
Those fans paid their hard earned cash to watch the game and some even travelled from other parts of the country just to watch this match but those at DeMbare do not respect the sacrifice they made.
We would also had expected the Dynamos leadership to take action on their coach who acted unprofessionally on that day in question but not with the current DeMbare leadership.
Anyway, what do you expect from a leadership that has run down such a big institution to the extent of failing to raise a paltry US$1 200 for the team's camping fees.
Whatever the case is, the PSL should come hard on errant Dynamos to deter other teams from following their route which has brought Zimbabwean football into disrepute.
For leading the walkout, Chaminuka also deserves heavy punishment that should not only be in monetary form but should include a long suspension or even a ban.
Zifa should also place Dirwai under investigation to find out whether, he is good enough — is being bribed — or that he is just not good enough for PSL football.
The three suggestions are just a few ways of trying to avoid similar incidents from repeating themselves again in future - Our football should always be the winner.
