Kandishaya pledges support for Zim reality show

Businessman and Zanu PF Youth League commissar Taurai Kandishaya has pledged his support for the Brother in the House Zimbabwe reality television show, describing it as a platform that promotes national unity, inclusivity and social cohesion.

Kandishaya made the remarks after meeting the show's hosts to gain a better understanding of the initiative following widespread public debate on social media.

"I wanted to understand the show for myself after failing to get satisfactory explanations about the trending Brother in the House Zimbabwe,” he posted on his Facebook page.

“After meeting the hosts and appreciating the scope of the project, I am proud that Zimbabwe is only the third country to host such a show.

“It promotes inclusivity, in line with the Constitution of Zimbabwe, and encourages people from diverse backgrounds to coexist as one family without the distractions of cellphones or television.”

Kandishaya commended the programme's growing popularity, saying its increasing online audience demonstrates its potential to become a major entertainment brand.

“What is equally impressive is the traction the show is attracting, with livestreams drawing more than 5 000 viewers and, at times, as many as 30 000,” he said.

“I believe it is time we all support and promote this initiative so that it can achieve even greater success.”
