Chunga under spotlight

BY OWN STAFF CAPS United coach Moses “Bambo” Chunga will be under spotlight when the Green Machine collide with Shooting Stars in a Caste Lager premiership match at Rufaro today (Sunday).

Chunga quit Shooting Stars in July last year and joined Makepekepe but his allegiance today is to the Green Machine, his current paymasters.

The Shooting Stars vs CAPS United match is the pick of the crop in the five league matches lined up today. CAPS United’s hotshot Simba Sithole is expected to play a starring role after grabbing a hat trick against Chauya Chikwata last weekend.

In Zvishavane, Shabanie Mine will play Chicken Inn at fortress Maglas. The asbestos miners went down 3-0 to Highlanders in their season opener at Barbourfields. Willard Mashinkila Khumalo’s Zimbabwe Saints will be hoping to get their groove back, when they play Kiglon at Barbourfields today.

Kiglon, who are currently on cloud nine after beating Dynamos 1-0 in their season opener, are no pushovers and Saints should tread with caution. Blue Ribbon will take Black Mambas at Gwanzura while Masvingo United entertains Hwange football club at Mucheke.

FC Platinum will not be active this weekend as their second week opponents Dynamos are away in Algeria for their Champions League second leg against Algers.

The two will then meet in a midweek encounter on Thursday at Rufaro.
