Eight Street, from Australia, performed dismally in the Castle Tankard race a fortnight ago but yesterday breathed down the neck of Grisham. It secured US$8 000.Zimbabwe’s Captain’s Tiger was in third place, also from the Swanson stable pocketing US$4 000. Rode by jockey Sherman Brown who was in charge the last time in the Castle Tankard, Captain’s Tiger followed in closely Eight Street.
In fourth place was South Africa’s Imperial Dice from the Noeleen Peech Stable. Rode by Guillermo Figuero pocketed US$2 000. Huffing and puffing Imperial Dice could not match the pace of Grisham.
