FOUR Zimbabwean players are part of the busy transfer window in the Botswana premiership.

Former TAFIC striker, Clarkson Dzimbiri could be on his way to Police XI. The free-scoring Zimbabwean forward has been transfer-listed by the Francistown outfit.

The former CAPS United player, Dzimbiri was a target of champions Township Rollers, but looks to have settled for the Jungle Kings said reports from Botswana yesterday.

Lobatse Premier League sides, Extension Gunners and BMC have bolstered their squad with some big name signings ahead of the new season.

Gunners, who are clinging to some of their top players reportedly keen to cross to BMC, concluded deals for unheralded Zimbabwean player Anesu Gondu. Former Santos striker, Boitshoko Zikhale and George Mpuniki are also reported to be headed for Gunners.

The club’s new communications manager, Cassim Dada could neither confirm nor deny the signings saying they were yet to sit down with the old committee to discuss such issues.

“We have not yet sat down with the old committee to discuss all those issues so I’m not in a position to comment,” Dada said.

Gunners’ coach and Zimbabwean Max “Malume” Moyo said he had retained most of his players from last season and the new additions would be confirmed soon. He could not be drawn into revealing names.

“We are actually preparing for the new season but it is too early to predict what will happen. I have the same team and I hope the players will be competitive. There may be a few additions,” Moyo said. — Mmegi/ Own Staff.
