Moses Chunga was red carded in a hectic Mbada Diamonds quarterfinal clash as Gunners bowed out of the tournament at the Colliery yesterday.Chunga, a colourful and controversial figure, took aim at referee Albert Mbuse after the match official failed to book FC Platinum captain Zephaniah Ngodzo when he pulled down Cliff Sekete who had broken clear in the 74th minute.

Platinum goalkeeper Tafadzwa Dube was named the man of the match, taking home US$500 after saving Pardon Chinungwa’s penalty in sudden death. Menard Mupera, Charles Sibanda, Benjamin Marere, Thabani Kamusoko and Brighton Dube converted the five spot kicks for FC Platinum while Cliff Sekete, Qadr Amini, Moses Muchenje, Ali Sadiki  and Hardlife Zvirekwi netted for the Harare side before Chinungwa’s miss in a rather tension field lottery. In the 90-minute game, Platinum were first on target through Charles Sibanda’s header in the 38th minute before Phineas Bhamusi hit back 60 seconds later.
