The Sudanese side arrived in the country yesterday afternoon with a delegation of 12 players and eight officials. The team could not be allowed a chance to have a feel of the match venue as they arrived late according to their travelling schedule.
The match is going to be played over one leg after Sudan wrote to Zifa expressing concerns over five –aside facilities back in Sudan.
Zifa later engaged CAF, which approved that the match be played over one leg.

The country last played in the Futsal World Cup qualifiers in 1998, where they lost the bid to repplay at the Futsal World Cup that was held in France.
National team manager Michael Musagwiza told Standardsport that the team was prepared to take on the Sudanese.

“The reason that our counterparts are in this competition means they are capable, hence we are not taking them lightly,” said Musagwiza.
The manager added that the technical team was not buying the idea that the absence of indoor facilities in Sudan would work to the advantage of Zimbabwe.
Musagwiza dismissed these as some mind games that were being played by the Sudanese team.
“First it was the war and now it’s the facilities, we suspect mind games are at play.
“The fate of this game lies in our own hands and hence we are going to stick to our strategy, not looking at what the Sudanese have but to get a win,” said Musagwiza.
The Zimbabwe team has depth of experience to overcome their counterparts in today’s match.
The technical committee, headed by Frank Farakezi, is spoilt for choice with some premiership players making it into the remaining 20 players.
A win for Zimbabwe would ensure the team book a date with South Africa in the final qualifying round of the tournament.
The gate charges would see fans paying US$1 for the rest of the ground and US$3 for the VIP.
