THE Zimbabwe Cricket inter-franchise age groups tournament will roar into life early next month in a move that is designed to revitalize the sport.
With Zimbabwe national cricket side struggling for positive results, stakeholders have decided to revamp the game from grassroots level.
The inter-franchise tournament runs from April 2-5 with the Under-18 tournament to be hosted at Watershed College in Marondera.
Prince Edward of Harare will host the Under-16 tournament from April 8-11 while Eaglesvale will host the Under-19 competition.
Three versions of the game namely the T20, Test and the ODI will be competed for.
The franchise sides who will take part are Mountaineers, Mashonaland Eagles, Southern Rocks, Matabeleland Tuskers and Midwest Rhinos.
