Returning Dynamos striker Rodreck Mutuma signed a one-year deal on Friday but that was a dummy for embattled coach Kalisto Pasuwa who cannot use him in tomorrow’s league tie against Bantu Rovers at Barbourfields.

The striker is waiting for a reverse international transfer certificate (ITC) from the South Africa Football Association after cutting ties with Bloemfontein Celtic two weeks ago.
Dynamos secretary general Webster Chikengezha confirmed the development.
“He has signed a one-year contract subject to renewal. He is however free to move to any club in South Africa if any opportunity arises,” Chikengezha said.
Pasuwa is in a striker crisis and desperate for a reliable gun slinger.
Prior to Friday’s Independence Trophy final loss to FC Platinum in which Anesu Gondo scored, the last time a Dynamos striker had scored in a competitive match was early February in the home 3-0 CAF Champions League victory over Mochudi Center Chiefs.
That reflects the grim situation at the defending champions who were last weekend embarrassed by new boys ZPC Kariba.

“We have to talk to the strikers and make them understand that their job is to score goals,” said Pasuwa.
“This is a league race where scoring determines champions. We cannot win when we are not scoring. We are playing a team considered as minnows but it is such teams that are dangerous to play against. ZPC Kariba are an example to that.”
Washington Pakamisa, Patrick Khumbula, Simba Sithole and Farai Mupasiri have been struggling to find their feet and hopes now lay on Mutuma whose ITC is expected to be issued this week.
Although the goal in the 1-1 regulation time draw with FC Platinum was attributed to Thomas Magorimbo, it was actually Gondo who scored and Pasuwa is seeking an attacking answer in the youngster.
Having posted a fortunate victory over How Mine in their first league match courtesy of a Brighton Dube own goal, Dynamos return to Barbourfields hoping for a change in fortunes.
But Bantu Rovers coach Methembe Ndlovu feels beating Dynamos would boost confidence in his team.
“Winning will give our youngsters confidence that we belong in this league,” said Ndlovu.
“We really need the points. We have to emerge with something from this game, even a point. The match is going to be difficult regardless of Dynamos’ form and their pedigree as a big team. We are focusing on ourselves and I am impressed by the way we play.” Bantu beat How Mine 3-1 in their last game.
