Cyclone Star handed women football Super League newcomers ZRP Harare a thorough beating with a 3-1 victory at Prince Edward High School yesterday.
Mighty Warriors fringe player Felistus Muzongondi and Talent Marondera were on target for Cyclone Stars in the first half.
The newcomers then grabbed one goal just after the breather through Molin Karingizha while Stars added their goal tally to three through Chipo Mbepo.
Cyclone Stars coach Prosper Manzungu said they took advantage of ZRP’s poor defence.
“It was a good match on our side. We caught them on counter attacks capitalising on their weak defence. We then relaxed and conceded a simple goal,” said Manzungu.
In another match played yesterday, Black Rhinos Queens beat Flame Lily 2-0.
