HOW Mine enhanced their prospects of a top-four finish by edging army side Black Rhinos 2-1 in a tightly-contested Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter at Rufaro Stadium yesterday.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 27th minute through Tinashe Mukanda, who finished off a delightful Marvelous Mukumba cross. Their advantage was, however, short-lived as Black Rhinos responded two minutes later when veteran Benjamin Marere connected a Lot Chiwunga cross.

How Mine scored what in the end proved to be the winner in the second half after Pasca Manhanga connected a beautiful volley off another Mukumba cross.

Rhinos had a chance to level matters, but Chiwunga’s penalty kick was saved by Donovan Benard in goals for How Mine as the visitors held on for a crucial away win.
